4. R205(b) Reciprocal Employment Exemption:

5. R205(c) Designated by Minister:
• Research

• Educational co-op – post-secondary
• Educational co-op – secondary level
• Spouses or common-law partners of high-skilled workers (TEER 0 through 3)
• Spouses or common-law partners of full-time students

6. R205(d) Charitable or religious work exemption
• Religious work
• Charitable Work


7. No Other Means of Support (R206): Workers who cannot support themselves in Canada without employment. Examples include:
• Refugee claimants.
• Persons under unenforceable removal orders.


8. Permanent Residence Applicants in Canada (R207): LMIA exemptions for individuals applying for permanent residence in Canada. Examples include:
• Live-in caregivers.
• Spouses or partners of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
• Protected persons under subsection A95(2)
• Family members of the above


9. Vulnerable Workers (R207.1): Workers considered vulnerable who may face exploitation. Examples include:
• Vulnerable workers who are abused at workplace.
• Family members of vulnerable workers.


10.   Humanitarian Reasons (R208): LMIA exemptions for humanitarian cases. Examples include:
• Destitute students.
• Holders of temporary resident permits valid for at least six months.
